Spatially resolved properties of supernova host galaxies in SDSS-IV MaNGA

چکیده
We crossmatch galaxies from Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory with the Open Supernova Catalog, obtaining a total of 132 SNe within MaNGA bundle. These can be classified into 67 Type Ia and 65 CC. study global local properties supernova host statistically. are distributed in both star-forming quiescent galaxies, while CC all along main sequence. As stellar mass increases, Ia/CC number ratio increases. find: (1) there is no obvious difference interaction possibilities environments between SN hosts control sample similar SFR distributions, except that tend to appear which more bulge-dominated than their controls. For SNe, galaxy morphology, as well environments; (2) locations have smaller velocity dispersion, lower metallicity, younger population centers. This natural result radius gradients these parameters. The location its symmetrical position relative center, regions effective radii very [Mg/Fe], gas-phase gas dispersion age.

Spatially - resolved dust properties of the GRB 980425 host galaxy
Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) have been proposed as a tool for studying star formation in the Universe, so it is crucial to investigate whether their host galaxies and immediate environments are in any way special compared with other star-forming galaxies. Here we present spatially resolved maps of dust emission of the host galaxy of the closest known GRB 980425 at z = 0.0085 using our new high-resol...

We have imaged emission from the millimeter lines of eight molecules—C2H, C 34S, N2H +, CH3OH, HNCO, HNC, HC3N, and SO—in the central half kiloparsec of the nearby spiral galaxy IC 342. The 5 (∼ 50 pc) resolution images were made with the Owens Valley Millimeter Array (OVRO). Using these and previously published CO and HCN images we obtain a picture of the chemistry within the nuclear region on...

A Tully-Fisher (TF) relation from Hα rotation curves of 19 luminous, star-forming galaxies reveals there is little evidence for evolution in the mass-to-light ratio (M/L) of these galaxies to z ∼ 0.3. The nearinfrared Tolman surface-brightness test for other luminous galaxies indicates their luminosity also is little changed to z ∼ 0.3. In this redshift regime, internal velocity – luminosity re...
متن کاملClustering of Supernova Ia Host Galaxies
For the first time the cross-correlation between type Ia supernova host galaxies and surrounding field galaxies is measured using the Supernova Legacy Survey sample. Over the z=0.2 to 0.9 redshift range we find that supernova hosts are correlated an average of 60% more strongly than similarly selected field galaxies over the 3−100′′ range and about a factor of 3 more strongly below 10. The corr...
متن کاملSpatially Resolved Spectroscopy of Emission-line Gas in Qso Host Galaxies
We present off-nuclear spectra of 3 radio loud QSO’s, 3C249.1, 3C273 and 3C323.1., taken with the echellette spectrograph and imager (ESI) at Keck observatory. From these spectra we have extracted the spatial profile along the slit of the [OIII], λ = 5007 line. Fitted Gaussian distributions to each of these profiles show emission-line gas out to several tens of kiloparsecs from the galaxy nucle...
